Terms of Service

1. About Beecause.AI

Beecause.AI is a service operated by Wisely, Lda., a company incorporated in Portugal with registered office at Rua de S. Pedro n.º 12A, 4720-092 Amares, Portugal ("Beecause.AI", "we", "us", or "our"). Beecause.AI is an AI-powered incident root-cause-analysis (RCA) SaaS platform. It connects to your observability, logging, and code tools and uses AI to correlate evidence and generate shareable incident reports.

By accessing or using Beecause.AI, you ("Customer", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using Beecause.AI on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. Accounts

  • You must create an account (a "workspace") to use Beecause.AI. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • Each workspace corresponds to a single organisation. You must not share your account with third parties outside your organisation.
  • You agree to provide accurate information during signup and to keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your workspace.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Beecause.AI for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or another customer's data.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or underlying algorithms of the service.
  • Use the service to process data in a way that infringes the rights of any third party, including personal data shared without appropriate lawful basis.
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the service available to third parties outside your organisation.
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code through the service.

4. Customer data ownership

You own your data. Any incident data, telemetry, repository metadata, or other content you connect to or upload into Beecause.AI ("Customer Data") remains your property. We process Customer Data solely to provide and improve the service, in accordance with our Data Processing Agreement (which forms part of these Terms for customers subject to GDPR or equivalent data-protection law).

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to process Customer Data as necessary to operate and deliver the service.

5. Our intellectual property, prompts, and Bring-Your-Own-Keys (BYOK)

The Beecause.AI platform — including its software, model orchestration, system and agent prompts, instructions, workflows, report templates, and the methods by which it correlates evidence and produces root-cause analyses (collectively, our "Mechanism") — is and remains our exclusive intellectual property. Other than the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no licence to the Mechanism is granted to you.

Certain paid plans let you connect your own AI model-provider keys ("Bring-Your-Own-Keys" or "BYOK") so that model usage is billed directly to your provider account. When you use BYOK, our prompts and instructions necessarily pass through your model provider in order to operate the service. Those prompts and instructions remain our confidential intellectual property, and you agree that you will not, and will not permit any third party to:

  • capture, log, store, extract, or retain our prompts, instructions, or other inputs we send to the model beyond what is incidental to operating your own provider account;
  • use our prompts, instructions, or the resulting outputs to train, fine-tune, or develop any model, product, or service that competes with, reproduces, or replicates Beecause.AI or our Mechanism;
  • reverse-engineer, derive, or reconstruct our Mechanism from the prompts, instructions, or traffic observed through your model provider; or
  • disclose our prompts or instructions to any third party for the purpose of building or improving a competing product.

This section survives termination of these Terms. Nothing in it limits your ownership of your Customer Data or your right to use the root-cause analyses and reports generated for you to operate your own business.

6. AI output disclaimer

Beecause.AI uses large language models to generate root-cause analyses, incident summaries, and suggested fixes. These outputs are assistive only:

  • AI analysis is not a substitute for human judgment. Always verify findings before taking action, especially in production environments.
  • We make no representation or warranty that AI-generated outputs are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
  • AI models may occasionally produce incorrect or misleading information ("hallucinate"). Cited evidence should be independently verified.

7. Availability and early access

Beecause.AI is currently in an early-access phase. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain availability, but:

  • We do not provide a guaranteed uptime SLA on free or early-access tiers.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
  • Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.

8. Fees and billing

Certain features or usage levels are subject to fees. Our current pricing is described at beecause.ai/#pricing. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge the applicable fees to your payment method. All fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
  • In no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.

10. Termination

  • You may close your workspace at any time via the account settings or by emailing privacy@beecause.ai.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable (or immediately in cases of security risk).
  • On termination, your Customer Data will be deleted in accordance with our DPA.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.

Nothing in this clause limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory applicable law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on beecause.ai at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
