Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide analytics information to site owners. Similar technologies (such as local storage and pixel tags) may serve the same purposes.
2. How we use cookies
We use two categories of cookies on beecause.ai:
- Strictly necessary — these cookies are essential for the site to function. They include cookies that store your consent choice, maintain your authentication session, and protect against bots. They are set automatically and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics (optional) — these cookies help us understand how visitors find and use beecause.ai, so we can improve the product. They are provided by Google Analytics and are only set after you give explicit consent. If you decline, no Google network requests are made and no analytics cookies are set.
3. Cookie table
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cc_cookie | Beecause.AI | Stores your cookie consent choices | Strictly necessary | ~6 months |
__session | Beecause.AI | Keeps you signed in to your workspace | Strictly necessary | Session |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot and abuse protection | Strictly necessary | ~30 minutes |
_ga | Distinguishes individual users (analytics) | Analytics (consent required) | Up to 2 years | |
_ga_<container> | Maintains analytics session state | Analytics (consent required) | Up to 2 years |
4. Google Consent Mode v2
Beecause.AI implements Google Consent Mode v2. When you land on the site, all Google analytics signals default to denied. The Google Analytics script is not even loaded until you explicitly click Accept all or enable the Analytics category in your preferences. This means:
- No
_gaor_ga_*cookies are written before consent. - No network requests to
googletagmanager.combefore consent. - Withdrawing consent after opting in will stop future data collection and clear the
_ga*cookies on your next page load.
5. Managing your preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time in several ways:
- Cookie settings link — click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page on beecause.ai to reopen the preferences panel.
- Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their privacy/security settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect site functionality.
- Google Analytics opt-out — you can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Third-party cookies
The analytics cookies listed above are set by Google. Their use is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Cloudflare's bot-protection cookie is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
7. Contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at privacy@beecause.ai.
